Start with a light layer of color, and gradually build up the intensity by adding more layers. Use a light touch and apply the colored pencil in a circular motion. Be patient, and take your time with this process, as it can be time-consuming but it’s worth it for the final result.

3. Mix Colors

Mixing colors with colored pencils is a crucial technique that can help you create the perfect shades and tones. Use a color wheel to identify complementary colors and experiment with blending them together to create unique and vibrant hues. Don't be afraid to mix colors that don't seem like they would work together, as they can often surprise you.

4. Use Pressure

The amount of pressure you apply to the colored pencils can also affect the final result. The harder you press, the darker and more intense the color will appear. It’s important to add the small details that can make a big difference in the overall appearance of the artwork.
